About me
I am an engaged social theorist with twenty years' experience as a community-based researcher, often with a focus on youth. I am particularly interested in how we shift both our ways of being from hyper-individualist, ego-centric ways of being to relational, genuinely collaborative and eco-centric ways of being. Through my research, I strive to bring diverse communities, ideas, leaders and institutions into meaningful, genuine dialogue for sustainable, transformative change. My writing and research focuses on: engaged theory-making; decolonizing and transformative institutional change; relational worldviews; DEI; innovative pedagogies; collaborative co-parenting; and youth gang exploitation prevention in Greater Victoria, BC, Canada.
